Polka Dot Pottery, Spokane

My first assignment for Location class, was to take a portrait of someone in their workplace. I met Kimberly Geiger of Polka Dot Pottery here in Spokane. She let me come to her downtown store, move things around, set up my lights, and get to know her. Anyone can walk into Kimberly's store, pick a piece of pottery then sit down and paint. Kimberly has beautiful finished pieces sitting around the shop to inspire your creation. You can also purchase her pottery there too. Thanks Kimberly for letting me take up your morning and to get to know you better.

While there I played around with photographing some of her wonderful pieces. Here are a few..

The way home

Here are a few photo's I captured on the way home from Oregon.

Downtown Pendelton, OR

After the train station, I wandered around their little downtown area. Great archecture!

Train station

After I met up with my brother in law Nate and transfered kids, I took the time to explore before coming home. How often do I get the chance to explore by myself? Never. I found the historical train station in Downtown Pendelton. What a great place!

Trip to Nampa, Id and back

March 24th I drove down to my sister Mary's home in Nampa, Id to help her out. This trip took us down through Kennewick into Oregon and then into Idaho. Here are some random pictures that I took along the way. Most were taken in Oregon at either view points or rest stops. Enjoy!

Somehow we got turned around in Pasco, Wa on our way down. I couldn't help but stop and take a few picts of these beautiful trees that are in bloom.

The church and hotel were taken in Baker City, Or when we stopped real quick on the way back.

Found this little mill at a rest stop in Oregon on our way home and couldn't resist capturing it.

This little creek is right next to the Discovery Center in Boise, Id. I took the six kids down there to give Mary some quiet. It leads to a small pond/lake.
